Bayou Region Hospice (BRH) is a local non-profit organization. Therefore, charitable contributions made to BRH are tax deductible.
Donations may be mailed or delivered to BRH at 195 Corporate Drive; Houma, LA 70560. For questions or more information, contact Joanne Samanie, RN,CHPN or Larry Fakier, at (985) 876-0163 or (866) 266-0163.
There are three primary ways for donors to support BRH:
Memorials. These are contributions by individuals, organizations, or businesses that are made in memory of or in honor of loved ones. Often, but not always, the person being memorialized was a patient of BRH.
Donations. Contributions by individuals, organizations, or businesses that are not linked to a memorial. Donations may be the result of direct telephone or personal solicitation by BRH or they may be initiated entirely by the donor.
Special Events. Support through participation in or sponsorship of events such as the annual Bayou Region Golf Tournament.
You can also choose how your donation will be used:
Donors may choose to designate their gifts for one of the following areas or may leave their donation unrestricted.
Indigent Patient Care. Patient services for persons not eligible for Medicare, not covered by private insurance, and having no other means of paying for hospice services. These services will include visits by physicians, registered nurses, home health aides, social workers, and chaplains and assistance with medications, medical supplies, and medical equipment. BRH has distinguished itself by being the only hospice in the Bayou Region never to turn any patient away because of inability to pay.
Camp Brave Hearts. Provides support for children who are faced with the challenges of grief thru a two-day summer camp.
